Re: Fave authors?
I don't know if I have a favorite author anymore. I spend so much time reading business textbooks that I've lost the literary side of myself. I do like Tahar Benjelloun, but he writes in French.

Re: Fave authors?
Da Brown, ummm remembering something,...oh yeah, The DaVinci Code. See, that's how long it's been sinc I read for pleasure. I couldn't remember that.
The problem I had with that story was that it was a little predictable, unless you know nothing about sacred geometry. I can see where it would be better for the unitiated.
It's time to make a list of things I should read.

Re: Fave authors?
Tolkien, Douglas Adams, Margit Sandemo, Terry Brooks, Neil Gaiman, John Ajvide Lindqvist (recommend you to check his books out!) Terry Pratchett, J.K. Rowling, and of course E.A. Poe!
I'm sure I've forgotten a few, but it's at least a beginning...

Terry Pratchett, Dan Abnett and Douglas Adams.
I don't read a lot of books by any one author, unless they've got a long series going, like Discworld, or William King's Gotrek & Felix novels (though someone else is writing those now).

Re: Fave authors?
Actually, the new guy, Nathan Long, is pretty good. It's close to how King wrote it, but he's only done one book so far, so it may be a bit early to decide (though I'm not sure how much longer the series can go for).

Re: Fave authors?
it could be like the discworld series, just goes on and on and on lol but we never get bored
Re: Fave authors?
It's the death saga of Gotrek Gurnisson. So far, he fought trolls, skaven sorcerers, a Bloodthirster (massive hard combat daemon), a magically warped dragon, chaos warlords, vampires, giants, and an ancient cthulhu-esque entity, and survived. There's not much left that can kill him without it being anti-climactic.

I have no fav authors nowadays, am always into factual books- Orchids_Gardening-Alternative Medicines but I used to love to read Catherine Cookson ( I know) SAD. But I also like historical autobiographies.

Re: Fave authors?
OK, I read ALOT, so this list could potentially go on for ever, but the main ones that spring to mind:
Shakespeare (geeky I know, but his plays fascinate me!) Tolkien, J.K. Rowling, Trudi Canavan, Garth Nix, Christopher Paolini, Alison Croggon, Robin Hobb, Tamora Pierce, D.H. Lawrence, Emily Bronte, Jane Austen and Angela Carter.
No doubt I've missed someone off but that'll do!

Re: Fave authors?
oh had to look at that a few times before i got you then lol
i think you mean the Wicca series, i think its Kate tiernan or something like that
good fiction for teens
the author of this series did her research but she gave her characters the abilities so have visible, instant powers like turning into wolves and freezing people
but as i said good fiction
