I love the harry potter books, but I'm not so keen on the films, they're not bad, but I dont think they're amazing. i think they're filming the 5th one now? I guess it's because theres such a gap between each filme I've kinda lost interest in them.
But I did love the lord of the rings movies, thought they were awesome.

Yea the order of the phoenix is the fifth one. I just remembered that one is out, so i guess they're filming the sixth one now (half blood prince.)
I know what you mean, as much as I love the LOTR movies, you still cant beat the books.

Yea, I have read the half blood, thought it was really good, coupla twists along the way kept me hooked. Out of all of them i'd say its probably my favourite. Now you mention it I might re-read them over the summer, I haven't had a harry potter fix for awhile Very Happy
Cant say I've read Danielle Steele, whats she like? I'm reading Ian McEwan's Atonement at the moment, I saw the movie and liked it so though I'd give the book a try, so far so gd.

Oo, she sounds interesting, I'll have to look into reading some of her work. Maybe you just need a change, for a bit of variety and then go back to her later on.

I've read a couple of Daniell Steele, but that was forever ago, i read Star and what was it? Zoya? Something like that. They're ok, but predictable, like most romance.

i also read Halfblood Prince, the only one of the books I've read, but I've seen all the movies. You can't kill Harry, he's a hero. Wink

ah if you've read the last book you know what happens lol

i was hugely disappointed in the last book

most of it was them running around hiding in a tent lol

I'm not normally one for romances but i have read a few of my aunties mills and boon books when i was so desperate to read something the cornflakes box would have done the job lol

i actually thought they were funny but I'm strange O_o lol

I'm reading glen cooks, the sword bearer at the mo

its quite good and i like the way it looks at the relationship between people and the old goods lol

but its very gory and quite depressing at times

well if its a really good story then I'm willing to ignore it lol

but the gore is needed in the swordbearer its a very dark story about a young boy whos home and family is destroyed by war. He manages to escape into a cave in some near by woodland where he comes upon a cavern with a sleeping dwarf and a sword.

The sword is a weapon of the gods and the fates choose him to be the bearer but he finds that hes not the first and all the others lead sad lives and died young in tragic circumstances. When he discovers that he is heading down the same road he strives to break free of destiny

its really good Very Happy

Reading,....I'm still not over quitting school and have boycotted reading until it doesn't make my heart race in fear of another test, just to hold a book in my hand.

I know how you feel tho snort, they inundate you with stuff to read, so when you sit down to read something for your own enjoyment sometimes you really cant face it. after spending your whole day reading, what you really dont want to do is sit down with yet another book. ah, the life of a student Rolling Eyes

You're right, it should be, but when you're forced to do it for a grade, it loses it's fun.
